Fair Treatment
Discrimination happens when a person is treated unfairly because of a characteristic such as age, nationality or sex. Nika has recently moved from Poland and some classmates make fun of her accent. David is 53 and worries that an employer rejected him because the company prefers younger staff. Sam enjoys dancing, but a few pupils say it is not suitable for boys and leave him out of their group. People who experience unfair treatment can speak to someone they trust, ask for advice and seek support.
